Products

Tequs offers different sizes of packaged CO2 water-to-water heat pumps that can meet buildings' heating, cooling, and hot water needs. The heat pumps are plug-and-play style, capable of simultaneous heating and cooling, with available sizes ranging from 5 tons to 75 tons. They can operate over a wide range of fluid temperatures and provide hot water up to 190°F.

Use Cases

Tequs heat pumps can be used to heat domestic hot water, supply radiant panels, or provide heated or chilled water for building loads. They are designed for indoor installation, such as in mechanical rooms or basements. They can be used in any commercial HVAC system where a heat source is available. The heat sources include ground, lakes, geothermal water, and more.

Compliance Information

Tequs heat pumps are primarily used in geothermal applications, which are among the most efficient HVAC solutions. This enables easy compliance with the Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) and Seattle Energy Code (SEC). Additionally, most indoor water-to-water manufacturers will use R-454B, which is a slightly flammable refrigerant. This will require them to comply with stringent code provisions in ASHRAE Standard 15, UL, the National Fire Protection Association, and others. In contrast, Tequs uses CO2, which is nonflammable, allowing for HVAC designs with fewer constraints.
